UW Extension to Host Northwest Wyoming Crop Symposium Nov. 14

On Friday, Nov. 14, the University of Wyoming Extension will host its 2025 Northwest Crop Symposium in Powell.

This all-day conference, designed for producers, ag professionals, and researchers, addresses the latest practices in crop production and farm management.

Topics include farm economics and cost management, precision agriculture, and crop insurance. Industry professionals will also present about specific crops, like beets and barley.

The symposium will take place at Northwest College’s Yellowstone Room, located at 231 West 6th St. Presentations begin at 9 a.m. and the event concludes at 5 p.m.

“The Northwest Wyoming Crop Symposium offers valuable, research-based information that producers can immediately apply to improve their operations,” says Makayla Getz, Park County extension educator. “Attendees gain access to the latest updates in crop science, pest and weed management, soil health, and innovative production technologies tailored to Wyoming’s unique growing conditions.”

In addition to sharing practical knowledge, the event provides an opportunity for community members to connect with industry leaders.

On-site registration will open at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event if space is still available.
