The University of Wyoming Extension welcomes Hannah Cesar as the new 4-H youth development educator for Platte County.

Cesar earned her associate’s degree from Otero College in 2019 and received her bachelor’s in animal science at Colorado State University (CSU) in 2021. In college, she participated in several agricultural extracurricular activities and held leadership positions in the Otero College Ag Club and the CSU Ag Council.
Most recently, Cesar worked as an outreach associate with the Eaton Public Library in Weld County, Colorado. In this role, she developed programming that served patrons of all ages, from youth to older adults. She also built community partnerships with local organizations, including the Eaton Early Learning Center.
Cesar was a member of 4-H in Pueblo County, Colorado for more than eight years as a youth. She served as a club president for six years. After her graduation from 4-H, Cesar has remained involved with her community; she has volunteered with her local FFA chapter, helped judge county fairs, and participated in community service projects like annual town cleanups.
Cesar values developing a positive and supportive environment for everyone around her. “I am excited to meet all of our outstanding youth, parents, [and] volunteers and to become involved in this amazing community,” she says. “Growing up in agriculture my whole life, being a 4-H alumni, as well as community outreach and development, are only a few skills in my toolbox that I think will transition over quite well in this position.”
Cesar started her new role with UW Extension Tuesday, Sept. 30. She can be reached at hcesar@uwyo.edu.
