Laramie plant walk, identification workshop May 19

A morning plant walk east of Laramie and an afternoon plant identification workshop in town with botany experts are Sunday, May 19.

RSVPs are required for both events. The focus is learning plant families, said University of Wyoming Extension restoration ecologist Kristina Hufford. Participants can sign up for either or both events. RSVP by visiting tiny.cc/PlantFamily.

The free plant walk is 10 a.m.-noon and begins at East Crow Drive and 45th Street.

The workshop is 1:30-4:30 p.m. in room 223 at the Aven Nelson Building on the University of Wyoming campus. The $15 fee includes a plant guide and materials to learn plant identification skills and botanical terminology. The Aven Nelson Building is located off 9th Street on the University of Wyoming campus.
