The University of Wyoming Extension’s Laramie County office is excited to announce its next Wyoming Walks event. Wyoming Walks is a community initiative promoting wellness and exploration through guided walking tours.

The upcoming program, titled “Walk with Nature,” will take place at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, Lions Park, on Monday, June 23, at 12:30 p.m. Participants are asked to meet at the entrance to the conservatory.

On this nature-focused walk, participants will be guided by Hannah Mills, Laramie County horticulture program coordinator. During a leisurely stroll through Lions Park and the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, Mills will share her expertise on local plants and gardening. The walk will last approximately one to one and a half hours and is a great opportunity to enjoy Cheyenne’s green spaces while learning about local plant life and conservation.

Wyoming Walks events are free and open to the public. Registration is not required, though attendees are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early.

Participants are also encouraged to bring water and wear sunscreen and comfortable shoes. In the event of bad weather or other changes, updates will be posted on the Laramie County Extension Facebook page (www.facebook.com/LaramieCountyExtension).
