Southwest Wyoming Ag Day is free and open to the public. It will take place at Evanston’s Historic Roundhouse & Railyards, located at 1500 Main Street. Sessions begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m.

Several UW Extension educators and specialists will speak at the event. “We try to pull in presenters that are presenting specifically for our region, which is a little different than Laramie or even Torrington,” says McKenna Julian, Lincoln County extension educator.

Julian and Sublette County extension educator Dagan Montgomery will address multi-species grazing practices. Rob Ziegler, UW Extension livestock production and marketing specialist, will give a talk about the current livestock market outlook. Johnson County extension educator Micah Most will speak about mitigating livestock stress. Finally, Barton Stam, Hot Springs County extension educator, will discuss range management considerations.

Southwest Wyoming Ag Day also features a tradeshow that will run throughout the event. Local businesses and extension educators will provide information about their products, programs, events, and services.

To register for Southwest Wyoming Ag Day, contact Julian at (307) 828-4093 or mbrinton@uwyo.edu. Registration must be completed by Wednesday, Feb. 19. A free lunch is provided for registered participants.

For participants interested in additional educational programming about ranching and energy development, the UW Ranch Management and Agricultural Leadership Program will offer its second 2025 seminar from 5-7 p.m. at the Evanston Roundhouse. The cost is $25 and dinner is provided. For more information, visit https://bit.ly/rmal-series.
