Evening workshops will take place 6-8 p.m. at the Weston County Fairgrounds in Newcastle on Tuesday, July 11, and 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Buffalo on Wednesday, July 12. Both events are free and open to the public.

UW Extension beef specialist Shelby Rosasco will provide an update on her heifer development research program and other research activities in the UW Department of Animal Science.

Agriculture and natural resources educator Micah Most will discuss digital grazing management tools that enhance monitoring and utilization of forage resources. Each session will conclude with an open Q&A session.

“It’s going to be a great learning opportunity for everyone,” says Most. “We hope to share useful and current information, and we also hope to hear what questions and challenges the producers in the area are dealing with.”

Light refreshments will be served; attendees are encouraged to RSVP. For more information and to RSVP, contact the Johnson County extension office at (307) 684-7522.
