A pressed very fluffy grass sown to a paper sheet with white thread, next to a paper label. The label says, Grasses of Mexico, State of Sinaloa. Collected with the aid of a Blanche Elizabeth MacLeish Billings Memorial Award. Yale University. Muhlenbergia gigantea (Fourn) Hitchc. (det. TR Soderstrom). About 22 miles east of Santa Lucia on the Mazatlan-Durango road. In dense clumps, the culms more than 2 meters tall; panicles open, 1 meter long and 4 decimeters wide. Altitude 2130 meters.
