For those interested in connecting with local artists and agriculturalists, the University of Wyoming Extension will lead a free, self-guided Ag & Art tour this June.

The event takes place in Albany County Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Two Albany County agricultural venues will host art and educational booths for attendees to explore. The host sites are the Laramie Research and Extension Center and Taste of the Wind ranch.

Attendees may travel between the two host sites at their own pace. At each venue, participants will learn more about the everyday operation of the agricultural operations. Extension educators will provide information about agricultural and community development research taking place in Wyoming. Some sites may offer farm-fresh products to purchase. Finally, local artists will create and sell work on site. Many forms of art will be on display, from fiber arts to photography.

“The tours are meant to give producers a platform to market themselves and their products to a wider audience, while also giving local artists an opportunity to display their work,” says Brenna Litynski, an Albany County extension educator and one of the event’s organizers.

The event is free to attend, but registration is required. To register for the event, visit https://bit.ly/ag-art-register.

Participants are asked to check in at each host site. At their first host site, they will receive a printed “passport” to fill out as they complete the tour. Completed passports can be turned in at the last tour stop to be entered into a raffle.

The event organizers request that participants leave pets at home, as pets may not be safe at the working agricultural operations that are hosting the events.

The 2026 Albany County Ag & Art tour is organized with support from the Jay Kemmerer WORTH Institute, the Albany County extension office, and the host sites. Funding for the events was provided by the John P. Ellbogen Foundation.
