Throughout the summer, members of the University of Wyoming College of Agriculture, Life Sciences and Natural Resources have been celebrated for their exceptional efforts and accomplishments.
STEM Faculty Participate in UW ‘LAMP Camp’

Several educators from the College of Agriculture, Life Sciences and Natural Resources participated in an innovative program designed to revolutionize STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education this May.
The University of Wyoming’s LAMP Science Initiative Summer Institute brought together 24 UW educators and one Northwest College faculty member at the historic Ranch A near Beulah. All participants are recipients of the 2025-26 LAMP (Learning Actively Mentoring Program) Fellowship, designed to help instructors master active-learning strategies.

McNair Scholars Program Undergraduate Research Symposium
The University of Wyoming’s McNair Scholars Program hosted the 33rd annual McNair Scholars Undergraduate Research Symposium Aug. 13. The symposium featured the culmination of research activities of the 13 UW undergraduate students who are participating in the federally funded Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program, including three students from the College of Agriculture, Life Sciences and Natural Resources.

Bruns Named UW President’s Distinguished Scholar
Danielle “Nellie” Bruns, an associate professor in the University of Wyoming’s Department of Zoology and Physiology, has been selected as a President’s Distinguished Scholar.
The President’s Distinguished Scholars Program honors faculty members who demonstrate exceptional promise in scholarship. Bruns’ three-year appointment includes a monetary award to support continued excellence in her field of study.
